Sue Hull

Sue Hull Artist. New Zealand Born.

After working and living overseas Sue returned to live in New Zealand eventually retiring in Onewhero. She has worked with china paints, clay, Hinuera stone sculpture work, watercolour, pen and ink, oils and acrylics. Acrylic is her present ‘go to medium’ working in Abstract and producing exciting work. Sue is influenced by artists such as Rita Angus and Don Binney as study for UE Art resulting in a 99% pass rate. Further study at Unitec Auckland Night School, USA Abstract Tutor Nancy Hillis for 2 years.

When Sue approaches her work, she never knows what is going to happen and lets her inner guide take charge resulting in surprise finishes in abstract, mostly large acrylic canvas. Her personal experiences inspired by culture and visual wonder translate into joy and stories in her into abstract canvases.

Sue has an Art Studio under the name of Suzart in Onewhero. She shows her work in Galleries and has exhibited, sold locally and worldwide. Sue recently received 3rd Prize at the Franklin Art Show 2019.
